This anime makes me SO anxious, no joke!!! Watching her lose money and not having the guts to sell almost gave me a heart attack, guys… And it’s crazy how all this tension and this super heavy theme get balanced out by such a cute art style LOL
In the end, just like in the manga (at least that’s what people told me, since I haven’t read it), she came out of her first adventure making money. I figured they’d follow the same idea and just save it for the start of this episode, because the end of the first one would’ve lost some weight if she just won right there, plus it made for a great cliffhanger.
What do you guys think about her literally STEALING money from her dad? She barely got into this and she’s already acting like a full-on gambling addict. The first line she crossed was already a huge one, so the only thing left is selling adult content to fund it lol

To help everyone understand why this is a horror manga, I’ll share some knowledge from other comments.
When a clueless rookie wants to start playing on a forex trading platform, they need to put up a deposit (margin). Based on this deposit, you can buy foreign currency units that exceed the value of your deposit. The value of the foreign currency units you buy divided by your deposit determines your leverage. For example, after stealing money and injecting it, Kurumi-chan deposit is 3.81 million yen. She buys Australian Dollars (AUD). Through a series of brainless moves, she ends up holding 3 million AUD (300 lots) at an average AUD/JPY exchange rate of 94.4. This is equivalent to 283.2 million yen, which is nearly 75 times the deposit—meaning 75x leverage. In this scenario, if the AUD/JPY exchange rate rises to 95 and they sell the AUD, a fluctuation of just a few minutes could generate an actual profit of 1.80 million yen. This is the magic of leverage.
But what if you lose? Still calculating in JPY, if the exchange rate drops to 93.13 and they sell the AUD, her actual JPY loss would reach 3.81 million yen, which is her entire deposit. The platform will never let itself lose money. Therefore, the moment the exchange rate fluctuates to 93.13, the platform will force her to sell all held AUD at this rate and calculate the loss (wiping out all of her deposit). This is what we call a forced liquidation, because it means all the capital you prepared this time has been taken away by the platform.
Many people might wonder why she can’t just hold onto it long-term and wait for the exchange rate to return to normal. If the leverage on the value of the foreign currency you bought is very low, or even exactly equal to your deposit, then you can absolutely hold it long-term. For example, if she buys 76,000 USD at a USD/JPY rate of 100 with 2x leverage, the platform won’t force a liquidation unless the USD/JPY rate drops to 1:50. Before that happens, you can naturally hold it long-term. But the problem is, with low leverage, it’s very hard to make a profit. Although the risk of getting liquidated decreases with long-term holding, the final return will probably be worse than putting your money in a basic savings account. That is why forex players always end up using leverage.
Note that these issues would be resolved by having a stop loss order. Like sure you *will* lose money, but you won’t lose all of it. Then again, maybe the anime would be “less anxious-inducing” if people actually did that, and some people do not believe in stop loss, unfortunately deluding themselves to believe they just need to hold out on their position.
She is absolutely all into that gambler mindset, unfortunately.
as someone who used to trade. I pray she fails and goes into debt and never trades again. She is literally gambling, even when I had £1.5k trading account with around 1:200 leverage possibility, I wouldn’t dare go over 1 lot size, nearly everyone who trades, knows unless you want to play it risky don’t go over 1, some traders who are balls to the wall would maybe trade 5 lot if they did not care at all if they lost that 1.5k within 5 mins. Her doing 50 lot is just dumb, if your that dumb you deserve to lose everything. Even more when you don’t have a stop loss. Also she doesn’t have a start, she’s atp just ragebaiting us.
